NaamYogi Shree Bramhachaitanya Maharaj spent his entire life in enchanting the Divine Name of Lord Raam and spreading the love of God’s Name amongst people.
In addition to this Shree Maharaj taught his followers two more ways to serve Lord :

First is by distributing food amongst the hungry people, called Ann-Daan and
Second is by worshiping Visible Image of God, called Sagun-Bhakti
Number of persons viz. educated, uneducated, poor, rich, wise-unwise etc. got fascinated by Shree Maharaj’s personality and his life. His life mesmerized all the persons and attracted them towards GOD. In reality, it is not possible to describe in few words, the divine and gigantic life sketch of the NaamYogi. But just to inform his followers, few important events in The Life of NaamYogi Shree Bramhachaitanya Maharaj are presented below :-
Yr. 1845 - Shree Maharaj was born in Gondavale, a small village near Taluka Dahivadi in District Sataraa of Maharashtra State (
Yr. 1857 - During childhood, Ganapati used to enchant holy name of Lord RAAM, all the time in a day. He left house in search of Philosophical Guru (Satt-Guru) at the age of 12year. At that time He was married as per old Indian tradition.
Yr. 1861 - Ganapati had to wander entire country in search for Satt-Guru. He visited Shree Swami Samartha of Akkalkot, Shree Ramakrishna Param Hauns in
Yr. 1862 - Accordingly he came to Shree Tukaraam-Chaitanya (popularly called as Tukamai) his Philosophical Guru i.e. Satt-Guru.
Yr. 1862 - Shree Tukamai was born in a small village Yehlegaon located in eastern
Yr. 1875 - After getting blessed by Tukamai, Shree Maharaj left Yehlegaon. Shree traveled in Himalayan region for about 12year and then returned back to home in Gondavale. After coming back to Gondavale Shree Maharaj started living normal life. He taught Yog to his wife. At the age of about 32 his first wife left this world. After this, Shree Maharajs mother Gitamai, started insisting about remarriage. Hence Shree Maharaj got remarried as per the old traditions, but with a bind girl. Latter she was called as Aaisaheb.
Yr. 1891 - Shree Maharaj brought awareness about Gods Holy name amongst poor middleclass people. He constructed many temples of Lord RAAM and Hanuman all over
Yr. 1896 - Entire country faced a sever drought in Yr1876 and Yr1896. During this critical period Shree Maharaj was a great shelter for poor villagers of Gondavale. Shree Maharaj took lots of pains to provide the villagers job, food and shelter. But while doing so he kept on emphasizing importance of GODS Holy NAME. By this time Shree Maharaj had routed his philosophy deeper into the hearts of a common men. A group of dedicated persons had started gathering around him. Many well-known personalities viz. Lokmanya Tilak, Vasuveo Balvant Phadke any many more used to come to Shree Maharaj to listen to him, to discuss with him and finally to obtain his Blessings.
in addition to GODs holy NAME, shree mahaaraj addressed -
(1) SAGUN-UPAASANAA (Sagun-Bhakti)
(2) ANN-DAAN (distributing food to poor people)
(3) GOSEVAA (serving cow and other poor animals)
Yr. 1913 - Shree Mahaaraj was literally like father of all the villagers of Gondavale. Till this time many persons all over the
Shree Maharaj never refused anybody. He accepted the person with his positive and negative points as well.
After establishing a good setup of RAAM NAAM and other good things at Gondavale Shree Mahaaraj took MAHASAMADHI on 22December of Yr1913.
Though Shree Maharaj has physically left this world, he is staying in Gondavale and the hearts of his followers in the form of Divine Name of Lord Raam.
